چکیده
We explore the relationship between welfare regime and climate policy attitudes. The synergy hypothesis suggests that social environmental policies can reinforce each other. Thus, more universal generous state model (i.e., regime) is said to provide especially fertile ground for advancing policies. Using multilevel modeling European Social Survey Round 8 data (including 23 countries in Europe Israel), we test whether this applies at attitudinal level. Moreover, hypothesize country-level political trust predicts support instruments. study focuses on three instruments: fossil fuel taxation, subsidizing renewable energy, banning energy-inefficient household appliances. results indicate significantly related attitudes toward but less banning. Political predicted all instruments, effect was particularly strong taxation. highlight importance of structures politics.

Medicaid, Welfare Dependency, and Work: Is There a Causal Link?
Medicaid exerts a strong "pull" on potential welfare recipients, increasing the probability that a number of single mothers will apply for and stay on welfare in order to be covered by Medicaid. However, the availability of private health insurance coverage exerts a strong positive influence on women's decisions to work and a strong negative effect on welfare participation rates. We use a two-sector OLG model to study the intergenerational effects of a tax designed to conserve a natural resource such as the global atmosphere. The traded asset capitalizes future environmental benefits created by the tax, benefiting the current asset owners, the old generation. Absent a transfer, the tax harms the young generation by decreasing their real wage. Future generations benefit ...

The beneficial effects of physical exercise on general health are well known; however, as exercise imposes great physical stress that challenges homeostasis, it can be detrimental to certain organs/systems of the body when it is exhaustively performed. Decreased seminal parameters and sex hormone levels have been reported in male athletes and, therefore, a possible impairment of male fertility ...
متن کاملIs there a link between autism and glyphosate-formulated herbicides?
Glyphosate is the most widely used herbicide on the planet, and its increasing use over time in the United States aligns well with the increasing rates of autism determined by the Centers for Disease Control. Based on the known mechanism of glyphosate toxicity, we hypothesize that a pregnant woman’s exposure at midpregnancy to glyphosate-formulated herbicides (GFH) may produce, in her unborn ch...
